Meaty Times is a free, simple cooking assistant for roasting joints of meat. Tell it what you are cooking, how much it weighs, and how you like it done — and it gives you clear oven temperatures, cooking times, resting guidance, and optional serve-at scheduling so your roast is ready when you want to eat.
Why use Meaty Times?
- No accounts — open the calculator and get answers straight away.
- Clear instructions — step-by-step temperatures, phased cooking where needed, resting time, and total preparation time in one view.
- Food-safe defaults — poultry, pork, and gammon use fully-cooked guidance; you are not asked to pick an unsafe doneness.
- Plan around your meal — optional backwards scheduling from a target serving time.
- Works on any device — designed for phones, tablets, and desktops.
What you can do
| Feature | Description |

| Two-phase roasting | For beef and lamb, get a high initial temperature then a reduce-to step when the recipe calls for it. |
| Resting time | Every result includes how long to rest the joint before carving. |
| Serve at planner | After calculating, enter when you want to serve and see clock times for when to start, change temperature, remove from the oven, and begin resting. |
